Employment

Having a good job can improve people's health and wellbeing. It gives them structure, helps them meet people, and provides a regular income. These all have a positive impact on physical and mental health.

Some people find it hard to get a job for a variety of different reasons. Some examples are because they have a health problem, a disability, or they look after someone at home.

Helping people get into work can make them feel more confident, more independent and healthier. It also helps the local economy grow.

In Lancashire, there are two free programmes that can support people to find and keep a job: WorkWell and Connect to Work.  You can further further details of these programme in the 'ACT' section.
